CALIFORNIA DREAMING!!!!!!!!!

Sean and I just got back to Utah  from CALIFORNIA!!!! for Memorial Day weekend with the new car Sean bought me. We drove down there at nighttime last Friday and about 10 miles after we started driving on the freeway I realized that the car had NO CRUISE CONTROL. If that wasn't the biggest oversight in our solar-system....LOL. I had a blast visiting the Sunshine State and staying with my Happy Loving Family out there. Mom & Dad and Karri were happy to see us and we were welcomed home with big hugs and bright smiley faces. I didn't notice that being in Utah all this time did something to me and Sean-- I saw it as soon as we sat down to eat with the family. We were both pasty and pale compared to the rest of our family! My Mom, Karri, Ryan, Gary, and even Dad were more tanned than my natural BLACKNESS!!! Whelp, I guess our whole family turned to the dark side afterall.. JK JK.

Our adventures in California were as followed- It was fun being able to go to the beach with the fam on Monday and build sandcastles, swim, eat, tan and toss those little sand-crabs on people's stomachs as they slept muahahahahaaa! I went to a pool party with my old friends that I haven't seen in FOREVER and it was an Amazing thing to even go to Kasia's (my older sister) Endowment at the Los Angeles Temple where Sean and I got married! I went to my family ward on Sunday and saw my most favorite people EVER (everyone in the the Jurupa ward) and everyone was so happy to see me and Sean there. I mostly enjoyed spending time with Karri, my beloved "mono zygotic synthetic deoxyribonucleac acid clone or stunt double" and now I'm sitting next to this huge new pile of clothing, shoes and jewelry we bartered all weekend long that's FINALLY MINE!!!!! ..looks like I got the better part of that deal! :D :D Haa..

I already miss Karri now that we're back home.. She wasn't home for much of the time I was there.. besides our beach trip, she was always either at a photo shoot or getting ready for one.. I am really happy for her that she's finding all these modeling gigs and hope that she will always be a good "role model" to all our younger siblings, nieces and nephews. I always tell my siblings who look up to me that the world doesn't need another model, it needs "role models" and that's what Karri and I hope to always be. I have a photo shoot out here in Utah next Friday which I'm excited for and Karri can even use those pics that I take for her own portfolio since no one can tell who's really who in pictures anyways haha.

Back at home in Utah, let's see.... I started school, I have a new laptop, I just made my very own homemade potato salad recipe that actually TASTES GOOD, and we're unpacking from our trip. It was a long long LONNNNNNGGGG drive back to Utah and we got home at 8am this morning and I had class at 9am! I told my Professor that I had a family emergency (which a lack of sleep counts for), handed him my essay and drove straight home and passed out for a couple hours. Ahhhhhh sleep!!! My second dessert ;) Actually dessert and sleep sounds really good right now...MUST HAVE BOTH!!!!!!! :)

But before I go, I have a poem on BEAUTY that I would like to share with everyone here-

“For Attractive lips, speak words of kindness.
For lovely eyes, seek out the good in people.
For a slim figure, share your food with the hungry.
For beautiful hair, let a child run their fingers through it once a day.
For poise, walk with the knowledge that you never walk alone.
People, more than things, have to be restored, renewed, revived, reclaimed, and redeemed. Remember, if you ever need a helping hand, you will find one at the end of each of your arms.
As you grow older, you will discover that you have two hands, one for helping yourself and the other for helping others.”
